"We wanted to go into the season playing in a creative, attacking and entertaining way"
Stuart Taylor has welcomed the international break this weekend but says the players can’t wait to get going again after ‘a fantastic start to the season’.
Town are four points clear of second placed Wycombe with a game in hand at the top of League One, remain unbeaten in the division and are into the next round of the Leasing-com Trophy with a match to play.
International call-ups mean Blues’ scheduled fixture for Saturday, against Wycombe, has been postponed, with Town next in action at Accrington on Sunday, October 20 in a game covered live on Sky TV.
“It’s good for the players to have a few days off,” assistant manager Stuart told the Club website.
“We have three games in six days ahead though but I know the players are looking forward to it. We have been looking forward to every game.
“It’s been a fantastic start and the players deserve credit for that. They came back in for pre-season in great condition and carried that through the summer in what was a demanding pre-season both in Germany and back here.
“We wanted to go into the season playing in a creative, attacking and entertaining way and we have done that. We need to keep it going now.”
