"I will lead that process with Paul and hopefully, over the next few weeks, we will start to see some new faces arriving at Portman Road.
Mark Ashton said the Club is very much in the market for new players and the process is under way as Town look to add to the squad ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The Club's new CEO started his role at Portman Road today, and met staff before conducting interviews with local and national media.
In an interview with iFollow Ipswich, Mark discussed his decision to come to Portman Road, the vision he, and other Board members have for the Club, and potential arrivals over the next couple of months.
"I'm delighted to finally be here for my first day and on site meeting staff," Mark told iFollow Ipswich.
"This is an opportunity to be excited about and I'm looking forward to getting on with the job now.
"We spoke to staff this morning and that was really nice to be properly introduced and see everyone - it helped us put names to faces.
"Paul [Cook, manager] is very clear on who he wants to bring in on the player front and we are very much in the market to get people in.
"I will lead that process with Paul and hopefully, over the next few weeks, we will start to see some new faces arriving at Portman Road.
"Day-to-day pre-season is set as well, so we will continue to announce fixtures in due course, but it's all in place."
