Midfielder set for first Pharaohs appearance since 2018

Sam Morsy has been named in Egypt's squad for two upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Libya. 

Egypt host Libya at Borg El Arab Stadium in Cairo before travelling to Benghazi for a reverse fixture against the side who currently top their qualifying group for the Qatar 2022 competition.

Finalised dates for the two matches, which will take place across the international weekend of 9/10 October, are yet to be confirmed.

Sam could be in line to make his first Egypt appearance in over three years when he joins up with the Pharaohs next month, his last outing coming in the 2018 Russia World Cup against Uruguay.
