"Every game is tough and we need to be ready both physically and mentally"

Kieran McKenna says Town's busy fixture schedule is demanding on the group but also presents an opportunity for the team to try and build momentum.

Tomorrow's trip to Bristol Rovers means back-to-back three-game weeks for the Blues having travelled to Burnley for an Emirates FA Cup fourth round replay last Tuesday.

Town will be looking to kick on having come back from two goals down to draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, while The Gas, who sit 14th in the League One table, fell to defeat at Lincoln at the weekend.

"It's important the lads are ready but we are glad to have the games at the moment," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.

"We want to have the chance to build momentum and with each game you get that chance. We have good availability in the squad and lots of players fit and ready. We need to make sure that whoever is involved is ready.

"I am looking forward to the game tomorrow and I haven't been to Memorial Stadium before. Every game is tough and we need to be ready both physically and mentally.

"We have recovered as well as we can, and we will focus on everything we can do to be set for the game.

"Bristol Rovers have individual threats and there are things we need to be prepared for, but we'll focus on ourselves and delivering a performance."

The full interview with Kieran will be available to watch on iFollow Ipswich from Monday evening.
