New home kit on show for the first time
Town kicked off pre-season with victory at Felixstowe & Walton United this afternoon.
More than 2,000 fans packed into the AGL Arena, many wearing the Club's new kits, revealed this morning, as the first-team wore the home shirts for the first time.
The Town players got vital minutes in their legs during the 60-minute match, during which manager Kieran McKenna fielded separate teams in each of the two halves.
Freddie Ladapo netted a brace as Sone Aluko, Kyle Edwards, Kayden Jackson and Panutche Camara scored goals as Town ran out 6-0 winners before the sides contested a penalty shootout.
The game was played at the home ground of Ipswich Town Women, with a BBQ and Fanzone area in operation through the day as supporters and players mixed before and after the game.
Town are in pre-season action again on Friday night, when they take on Maidenhead United at Needham Market’s Bloomfields ground.
