Conor joined the club for an undisclosed fee from Barnsley during the summer of 2021. 

After netting 11 goals in his first Portman Road season, the attacker took things to the next level during his second, scoring 29 goals in all competitions as his 26 in League One saw him secure a share of the division’s Golden Boot. 

His goals helped fire Town to the Championship and also saw him win a string of awards, including the Supporters' Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Corporate Player of the Season, while his goal at Derby was named the club's Goal of the Season. 

Conor then played a leading role in helping the Blues back to the Premier League in the 2023/24 campaign, scoring 13 goals and assisting nine times during 44 league appearances for the side.

Conor’s two seasons with Barnsley saw him help the Tykes reach the Championship play-offs, while he also spent time with Coventry City after coming through the Portsmouth youth system to make more than 100 appearances for his boyhood club. 

Conor's impact on the pitch for Town has been matched by his influence off it, with the left-footed forward becoming a Trustee for the Club's Foundation in October 2021.
