George signed for Town on loan from Leicester City in January of 2023 and went on to play a vital role in the Club's promotion from League One.

He scored seven goals in total, with many of them proving vital.

His strikes away at Bolton, Derby and Barnsley helped the Blues take vital steps towards the Championship, before he also found the net in the 6-0 victory over Exeter City which ultimately secured promotion at Portman Road.

He signed full-time for the Club in July 2023, penning a four-year contract and signing for an undisclosed fee.

George then helped Town to a second successive promotion where he struck seven times and recorded seven assists, including the winner against Swansea City at home and a crucial goal to mark his return from injury in the 3-3 draw at Hull City.
