Midfielder Jack was the first signing of the 2023 summer window, joining from Peterborough United on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. 

The central midfielder had been pursued by the Club for three transfer windows, before ultimately putting pen to paper.

Jack helped Town to automatic promotion and to the Carabao Cup round of 16 in his first season at Town, which included a 25-yard rocket in round three of the competition against Wolves at Portman Road. 

He was part of the Peterborough side which won promotion to the Championship in 2021, making a total of 125 league appearances for Posh during his three-and-a-half seasons at London Road. Thirty of those came in the Championship. 

Prior to that he was with Barnet in the National League, where he made his senior debut aged just 15, having come through the youth system at Chelsea. 

Jack has been called up to the senior Republic of Ireland squad on a number of occasions as he closes in on his first international cap. 

Taylor made his debut in the Premier League in August 2024 against Liverpool, where he came on as a 65th minute substitute.
