Welsh midfielder Lee joined Town in the summer of 2021, after leaving Wigan Athletic, and has been a regular in the side during his first two seasons with the club. 

He scored the first goal of Town’s 2022/23 season, sweeping home against Bolton Wanderers on the opening day, before netting again in the victories over Bristol Rovers and Morecambe to help the Blues on their way to promotion. 

Lee, who has previously won four caps for Wales, scored his first career hat-trick during his first Town season, netting three times in the 6-0 home victory over Doncaster Rovers. 

Prior to joining Town, Lee played regular Championship football with the likes of Wigan, Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, helping the latter to promotion from League One during the 2013/14 campaign.  

He began his professional career with Newport County, having previously spent time in the Bristol Rovers youth system.
