Left-back Leif joined Town for an undisclosed fee from Leeds United in July 2022. 

He made 46 appearances in all competitions during his first season with the Club, which ended with Kieran McKenna’s side winning promotion back to the Championship. 

As well as helping his side keep a league-leading 23 clean sheets, Leif was an impressive contributor in attack, scoring three goals of his own and contributing 14 assists to top the League One charts.  

The left-sider quickly adapted to life in the Championship and, once again, became a central figure in the Town side as the Blues stormed to a second-successive promotion. And, just like in the previous season, he topped the assist charts, laying on 18 goals for teammates while netting twice himself to help the team win promotion to the Premier League.

His efforts saw him voted Players' Player of the Year by his teammates.

Prior to joining Town, Leif made 14 appearances for Leeds, while also featuring 12 times for Bournemouth during a loan spell in 2021/22.
