Town signed Lewis Travis on loan from Blackburn in January, 2024.

After coming through the ranks at Liverpool, Lewis joined Blackburn in 2014 and has spent the entirety of his senior career to date at Ewood Park. 

He made his first-team debut in the EFL Trophy in August 2017, before making his first league appearance the following January and helping Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn side win promotion from League One. 

Lewis was an unused substitute during Blackburn’s first game back in the Championship, a 2-2 draw with Town at Portman Road in August 2018, before becoming a regular fixture in the side during the season, making 31 appearances. 

After becoming a first-team mainstay, he was given the captaincy in 2022 and made 48 appearances as Blackburn finished seventh in the Championship in 2022/23, while also playing the full 90 minutes when Town beat Blackburn 4-3 at Portman Road earlier in the season.
